Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) is in jeopardy of closing its doors in East Meadow because of state funding cuts by the Governor and her allies in the State Legislature. NUMC serves over 178,000 patients a year, many with low incomes, and is home to our only Public Safety Net Level One Trauma Center and only burn unit that has saved the lives of countless police officers, firefighters, and Nassau County residents.
